I’ve been writing stories since I was in college. It’s my favorite type of writing, primarily because it’s so damn hard to do well. I can draft a new story in a matter of days, but revising and getting it right usually takes years.

“Inner Chesapeake”

This story first appeared in the Summer 2002 issue of Doubletake magazine. Doubletake was an excellent magazine in its day, so publishing this story was my proudest achievement as a writer. But alas, the magazine folded shortly after the Summer 2002 issue was published. Some luck, eh? They had a brief resurgence in 2006 but now seem to be gone forever.
