riting is my hobby, not my profession. My modest accomplishments as a writer:
Fiction
DoubleTake, “Inner Chesapeake,” Summer 2002 issue
Magnolia Leaf Literary Journal, “Usage,” Kenner, LA; August 1993 issue
The Penn State Readers, “The Mooch” (staged reading), University Park, PA; April 1993
Humor
Jest Magazine (writing as John Claypool), “The Higher Learning: A Survey,” July 2004 issue
The Saucepot Review, Editor and Co-founder, 2000-2001
The Sauce was an online satire magazine that I started with my friends R. Jay Magill and Bill Coleman. We found out that running a magazine is a lot of work. Our ownership of the domain expired in 2002 and the site is now “A literary work in porn criticism.” Whatever that is.
